CMS T&M was established in 1969 by a group of taxi drivers operating along the Broad Street/Marina axis on the Lagos Island in Lagos State. The business was initially located around the CMS Bookshop House until the Federal Government provided the taxi drivers a long lease over the land overlooking the popular Cathedral Church along the Marina. CMS T&M moved from providing private taxi services to providing public transportation using the popular TATA buses. CMS T&M registered with the CAC, Abuja, on September 3, 2002 organising itself around 7 groups/associations and cooperatives.
